Traditions is a coffee house that also sells (and offers tasting of) food and wine. It specializes in Napa Valley products, including nuts, wine vinegars, olive oils, wine jellies, mustards and, of course, wines. Lots of wine paraphernalia too, such as wine racks, coasters, cork pullers and the like.
Traditions is one of the original coffee hangouts in both Napa and California. It's a quiet and cool place to sip coffee or tea, with a play area for your little ones to occupy themselves while you relax. Traditions is just across the street from the Napa Firefighters Museum which is also a great place to take kids.

This place is absolutely loaded with kitchen stuff. We always walk out with something, generally more than we came in for. It's the kind of place every town used to have. Napa still has one. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable and its prices are competitive with factory outlet stores. What more could you ask?

A chain of nearly 200 stores located throughout the United States. Trader Joe's offers food (fresh and packaged—much of it organic and/or vegetarian) and beverages, including spirits and wines. Their selection includes specialty and imported items, and prices on everything are exceptionally low. Trader Joe's has built a fanatic following of customers, and the public clamor (including letters to the editor) for a TJ's in the Napa Valley took on near-cargo cult dimensions. The pleas were successful.
