Tentative (probably very) design by renowned architect Antoine Predock for Thomas Keller's country inn that will be an extension to his French Laundry restaurant. Predock describes it as "20 idiosyncratic rooms - each with a mirror outdoor room, combine with dining/lounging spaces, spa, and gardens to create a continuous fabric of walls". Located almost directly across the street from the restaurant. Likely opening is 2008.
It may end up being called the Aloysius Inn. Or maybe it won't. If it is, it could be named after Aloysius Snuffleupagus or maybe the more culinary-minded Aloysius X. L. Pendergast. Then again, with Thomas Keller, who knows? Maybe it's his middle name.

This used to be an old-growth vineyard with gnarly old vines just across the street from an earlier home of the writer of this book.
