Directions: West side of Highway 29 (at Yountville). Take the Veterans Home exit. Cross railroad track and turn right into Domaine Chandon.
Domaine Chandon is owned by Moët et Chandon, and its sparkling wines are superb. It also offers an excellent tour, giving you a chance to see how sparkling wine is made, which is a quite different process from the "still" wines made in most other Napa Valley wineries (although Chandon is starting to produce some still wines).
Domaine Chandon's restaurant is one of the most outstanding in the valley. The food, presentation, service and views are superb. Unless you're very lucky, you'll need reservations well in advance.

Goosecross also offers an excellent "Wine Crash Course", a 90-minute wine class held every Saturday morning September through November. In this free class you'll learn about tasting techniques, the structure and components of wine, winemaking styles, wine jargon, serving and storing wine and much more. A small winery that has been producing award-winning wines since 1984. Their Carneros Syrah is exceptional. They're the only winery in the valley to produce an Albariño, grown from that unique white grape originally from Spain and Portugual.
